Aluminium Chips Drying and Magnetic Separation

Every foundry generates Aluminium Swarp after machining. It may or may not contain iron.

Chips are required to be made free from oil and water.

For iron removal magnetic separation.

Centrifugal Chips Drier :

Highly weight chips are passed though Centrifugal Remover in which water and oil separated economically. However over 3% of Oil or Water stucked to material has to be heated.

Solution :

Chips Drying Unit

• Rotary chips drying unit.

• Refractory lined rotary drier.

• Chips are heated while rotating in Rotary Drier, Moisture removed, oil is fully burnt.

• Chips slowly passed over magnetic drum with 8000 gauss strength removes Fe.
